#ADA-FESTIVAL: ROLLING EYES.

FEMINIST VOICES, TEXT AND SOUND.

November 9 2018

2E2Gtm

Many ideas are dismissed as feminist moaning because they sound different. They are decried as ideology or conspiracy against the dominant, Western, masculine, white, heterosexual. During the festival we will discuss feminism in a digital, poetic, sonic context. We try it out in workshops, discuss it in a panel discussion and hear and see it in text-sound performances. Speaking and talking, listening and singing bring new ways to collectively deal with rolling eyes and conspiracy accusations.

The festival is organized by the Hochschule Düsseldorf (Prof. Dr. Swantje Lichtenstein) and the NRW-Forum. Invited are theorists, authors, journalists and sound, language and performance artists, including LaTasha N. Nevada Diggs, Dr. Mithu Sanyal, Hengameh Yaghoobifarah, Florence Hervé, Kinga Toth, Nat Raha, Romy Rüegger and many more.
