Artificial intelligence (AI) is considered a key technology of the 21st century and has become an integral part of society. AI is currently revolutionizing the world of music, literature and art: image generators create new visual worlds and artists collaborate with machines. In the process, they compose new music, write unusual texts, and produce hybrid aesthetics. Refik Anadol is considered a pioneer in the field of artificial intelligence. He explores the limits of imagination and uses the latest technologies to investigate the perception and experience of space and time.
In conversation with curator Alain Bieber, the great questions of current debates are: When does AI actually become art? And how does it all actually work technically? Will AI soon make artists obsolete? And who is actually the creator of these works? In addition, the consequences of the upcoming epochal change will be discussed: How will the self-image of humans change? And what does this mean for our society?
